We hope you enjoy this wedding film trailer for Kathleen and Albert’s wedding.
What makes a wedding day perfect? A great venue? Beautiful decor? The best cake? For Sherry and Antony’s Coptic Orthodox Wedding, it was all about the family and friends that came to celebrate with them. (But let’s be honest, their venue and decor was quite spectacular).
The morning of September 26th started as beautiful a day as you could ask for with Autumn approaching. As Sherry stepped into her dress, a smile immediately grew on her face; this was the dress she had always wanted. “It’s like my dream dress. I probably saw it in a photo before I even met Tony. I’m like ‘that’s the dress’…it’s just always been the dress.”
Singing echoed down the halls of St. Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Church as guests entered and their ceremony began, filled with rich arabic traditions. After they were crowned and blessed, Sherry and Antony departed for photos around the Detroit Institute of Arts. As they walked into their beautiful reception in The Henry Ballroom, the party was on. The band played loudly as friends and family danced around, soaking in the celebration.
Nothing makes a same-day edit easier than an awesome couple, and that is exactly what Sherry and Antony were to us. Their laid-back attitude and extremely hospitable family made us feel right at home, and we can’t thank them enough for letting us in to capture their day.
Congratulations Sherry and Antony, we wish you nothing but the best in your future together!
“Have faith.” We have all heard those words spoken to us before. The notion that something will unfold how it should is both a comforting and frightening concept; and that doesn’t change when it comes to finding true love.
Mike & Jenn’s big day was as bright and beautiful as one could hope. Sunlight poured in through the rooftop glass at Kensington Church’s wedding chapel, illuminating the altar and pews below, as they shared their hand-written vows. The ballroom of The Reserve, flush with natural light and elegant decor, provided the perfect backdrop for a wonderful wedding celebration.
For Mike & Jenn, having faith is exactly what brought their lives together. They looked to God not with impatience, but with confidence that He would deliver when the time was right. And deliver He did. Jenn’s Matron of Honor Veronica said it best when she stated…“Jenn and Mike are an incredible example that God really does answer prayers. Sometimes His answer is yes, sometimes it’s no, and sometimes His answer is hang on, be patient, just wait ‘till you see what I’ve got planned for you.”
Congratulations Mike & Jenn, we wish you nothing but health and happiness as you build your future together.
Let me tell you a little bit about wedding coordinators. Plain and simple, we love them. They make everything about planning a wedding easier for a bride and groom, and they have everything organized so the couple can focus on what matters most – having a great time! So, when a wedding coordinator gets married it’s their turn to enjoy their day; celebrate with their loved ones and to let us do what we do best, capture their story. We’ve come to know Veronica as the coordinator of many weddings we’ve filmed at the Detroit Athletic Club, but on a beautiful sunny day in February she got to be the bride.
Veronica and Dan’s story starts at the DAC. Dan was a member, she an employee, they went on a few dates but kept their relationship quiet until the time was right (with a little coaching from Veronica’s sister!). Fast forward to their wedding day, in the same building where they first met.
Veronica spent the morning getting ready and laughing with her bridal party. She told us that apparently the day before the wedding on a hunting trip, a shotgun shell with the name “Danny” on it was found in her dad’s bag. This was slightly worrying, but once we met Veronica’s dad it was clear it was all in good fun, and that he couldn’t be happier to welcome Dan into his family as his daughter’s husband. The rest of the day was full of fun, laughter, and beautiful sunshine. We enjoyed shooting alongside JLB Photography and Emerald City Designs (some of our other fabulous wedding coordinator friends) kept everything beautiful and organized.
We couldn’t be happier to share Veronica and Dan’s wedding film trailer with you! We wish them many years of happiness. And Veronica, we think you should only respond to “Mrs. Seder” for at least a year. It’s only fair 😉
